"Networks purpose is to connect people, therefore ESACH organizes at least once a year a European meeting in which ESACH groups’ university students and young professionals/researchers (alumni and others) can exchange research papers, social experiences and know the heritage of the different regions of Europe."
Our 3rd ESACH Meeting 2020 Madrid, “Our common past, our future”, is organised by ESACH and the MA Cultural Heritage in the 21st Century: Management and Research (ESACH Madrid). It aims to innovate following the work done in the previous meetings in Girona (2018) and Genoa (2019). This meeting is open to ESACH's members and non-members. We want this to be a place for the exchange of knowledges and ideas about our European heritage, but also we hope this event serve for thinking about sustainable ways to manage it, because we are the future of Europe and that should be our commitment.
For that purpose, this meeting hosted by the Complutense University of Madrid wants to contribute to the development of ideas and the sense of responsibility of the whole society in the fulfilment of the UN SDGs. In fact, 100% of the energy consumed by this university comes from renewable sources. We want the 2030 Agenda to be present in some way in the presentations we will hear and in the meeting organization itself. Our Cultural Heritage has much to contribute in the fight against the climatic emergency, something that it was well reflected in the development of the COP25 Madrid-Chile 2019.
ESACH Meeting 2020 Madrid is conceived to give voice to many young participants and for that we launch a Call for Proposals for the election of 14 speakers for presentations and the novelty of the Call for Posters, for another 8 people. In addition, we will invite professionals with a long career, also professional and social associations to participate in specific presentations and discussion tables. There will also be a practical workshop on Cultural Heritage management and visits to heritage sites in the capital of Spain.
ESACH keeps moving forward, do you join us in Madrid?
